i believe theres a supernatural force, idk what youd call it haha. maybe a god, maybe something else that we cant see, idk.
however, that force/god/whatever isn't represented how i interpret it in any world religion.
closest id say is buddhism but there are multiple types of buddhism (theravada, mahayana, etc.) and its hard to pinpoint which is truly closest to the beliefs of mine
what i dont like is religious organizations having so much power.
i also dont like how hypocritical many religious organizations are. im gonna talk about catholicism because thats the one i know the most about.
ive heard many times that god is "unknowable and unfathomable". how can you say that, then later claim you know what god wants?
also, if god wants us to be happy, why is there so much strife in the world?
if we have free will, if we are in charge of ourselves and can make our own decisions, if we are able to choose between this and that, how can it be part of god's plan? does he control us or do we control ourselves? if we are making choices, then how can god also carry out his plan? aren't humans too erratic?
god tells us to accept all, then how come the catholic church has never had a black, asian, latino pope? how come a woman can be nothing higher than a nun in the catholic church? how come the catholic church preaches acceptance yet condemns LGBTQ people?
thats just my opinion. i appreciate the good teachings of religion but i dont appreciate the religious organizations that are constantly hypocritical, or their hypocritical followers. if you practice a religion, i fully support you as long as you dont hurt you or anyone else and that you accept and love all people.
