ISSA definitely sounds like a progression in his sound and a step in the right direction. He sounds cleaner and more energetic while still kinda scaring me.
Lyrically he actually brings up some stuff that isn't just death threats and he almost seems kinda real and not 100% meme which was a massive surprise as I was going in looking forward to more of the same type of material as in Savage Mode. What I got instead was hints of social commentary and the startling realisation that 21 Savage has feelings.
I prefer the variety in the production over the consistent sound of Savage Mode and all the producers brought some top tier stuff. The sampling in Nothing New was rad especially.
Favourite Tracks: Nothing New, Numb, Bank Account, Bad Business, Baby Girl and 7 Min Freestyle.
Definitely give this album a spin whether you're a fan of previous work or not, it's his clearest and most accessible release I hope you enjoy!!
