To me, Sample snitching is a huge issue and always will be. Sample snitching actively kills a culture of hiphop thats been around for a long ass time and can get your favorite artist sued. I get that whosampled is a thing nowadays and its easier than ever to find out who sampled what, but posting it to a public space is infinitely worse and can lead to a lawsuit, shit happens all the time.
Here are a few links of artists talking about it: DJ Premier on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hH_RmzDEk3o&feature=youtu.be
Jonwayne talking about it (whole twitter thread has people talking about) https://twitter.com/jonwayne/status/865246096557195264
Kno (producer of cunninglynguists) has been served with a Cease and Desist over a sample before: http://hiphopdx.com/news/id.13939/title.kno-served-with-cease-and-desist-over-samples
Kno even threatened to retire once regarding sample snitching (all I could find is this forum post, cant find original quote unfortunately): http://forums.undergroundhiphop.com/readpost.asp?Forum=Common&Whichpage=1&QuestionID=2218275
This post wasn't meant as a lecture post, but more of me wondering how current hiphop fans view "sample snitching" and if anyone else sees it as an issue. If you dont see it as an issue, I hope the links I provided changes your mind at least a little bit.
