Some variety for ya. Beck covering Velvet Underground is super good, gahdamn. Saw Nas on Saturday. Also been studying. Life is a long winding road or something, pick whatever metaphor you want to describe it. I wish more artists did full-album covers, it's a super interesting thing, but everyone just covers Dark Side or Sgt P. Gimme an Animal Collective does Pet Sounds album or something. Enjoy things.

Notes:

• Unknown Pleasures is a GREAT album and stfu Trill, JD is better than New Order.

• Pygmalion is good sleeping music.

• Happy 10th to In Rainbows! one of my all time favourites.

• The Infamous still remains timeless in its sound, its style and its themes. RIP Prodigy, bless up for making, with Havoc, possibly the best New York 90s hiphop album.

• Wamp 2 Dem is just hard shit y'know. Giggs did his thing. Giggs x Young Thug was hotter than I expected.

• DELTRON 3030 WAS LIFE CHANGING wowowowowowowwo so awesome i love del's flow and the immaculate prod by Dan the Automator super blown away by this

• Stars of the Lid - And Their Refinement of the Decline was absolutely beautiful, best ambient album I have come across so far. It really sounds like a movie score, using all types of strings and brass instruments to just create expansive, reflective atmospheres. Very long though, I probably won't return to it much unless I have a specific reason to.

• Violator was dopppe. Like a proto-LCD Soundsystem, they use innovative electronic instruments as well as guitars, and passionate lyrics on love, sex, life and death to create groovy, dance floor ready songs with depth and meaning. One of my favourites ive come across recently.

• The pump tape was......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... oh sorry i fell asleep in the middle of writing this, just like i did with the pump tape.

• I still don't get The Moon and Antarctica. It just feels like some generic, boring indie rock stuff.

• Sunnyvale Gardens is absolutely one of the weirdest albums I've enjoyed this year, including features from Matt Ox, Lil Peep and Wicka Phase Springs Eternal, and styles ranging from house/club-hop, to country, to 80s synth vocoder shit. Yet there manages to be a cohesive sound and vibe throughout. I definitely recommend to anyone familiar or even new to Antwon's work and anyone just looking for something weird to listen to.

• Laughing Stock is just so beautiful man. Mark Hollis has the voice of a god.
